Caribbean Hold'em Rules and Strategies

How to Play Caribbean Hold'em
The object - To get a better five card hand than the dealer. Hands are based off of standard poker hands
The Deal (or hand dealt) - First, three community cards are dealt face up in Caribbean Hold'em. Community cards are cards that both you and the dealer can use to make your hand. The Dealers is now dealt two cards face down. You, the player, are dealt two cards face up.
The Bet - You must first make and ante before any cards are dealt. Once the cards are dealt and you have assumed that you can either beat the dealer or you can not. You can either Fold or Call. Folding will mean the game is over and you lose you ante. If you call, you can bet additional chips up to twice the amount as the ante. If you Call, two more cards are dealt to the community hand, face up. Now you can use some or all of the community cards to play the hand. The dealer will do the same.
Caribbean Hold'em Strategy
The Win - In order to win, you must know a few things according to the Caribbean Hold'em rules. First the dealer must qualify to even play the hand. If the dealer does not have a pair of 4's or better. If you Call and the Dealer does not qualify for the hand, you win your ante and the Call bet is returned. If the dealer does qualify and your Caribbean Hold 'em hand beats the dealers, you win your ante in accordance with the payout schedule on you Ante, and even money on your Call Bet.
Things to consider - Remember, the dealer has to qualify in order to actually win a hand. So even if you have a low hand, so may the dealer. Don't count yourself out just because you have low cards. They help a lot, but are not necessary to win.

The Progressive Jackpot - The Caribbean Hold 'em is an optional additional bet you can win. This usually cost $1 and I usually bet on it every time. You could win either part or whole of the jackpot depending on you winning hand.
My Caribbean Hold 'em Game Play
To start, I am playing $5 hands at Rushmore Casino. In addition, I am also placing a $1 bet into the progressive jackpot. I am not real familiar with Caribbean Hold 'em so I want to start betting small just to get used to it.
First Hand - I am dealt a 6 of spades and a 3 of spades. The community cards are a 5 of hearts, 7 of diamonds, and a 9 of hearts. We do not know the dealers cards yet. However, we may be in good position because we have a possible straight two ways; either a possible 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, or a 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. All I need on the next deal is either a 4 or an 8 of any suite. I am going to Call. The Two new community cards were a 10 of spades and a Q of diamonds. I was only able to make a Q high, and unfortunately the dealer was able to make a pair of 7's. I lost.
Second Hand - I am dealt a 7 of spades and a 5 of spades. The community cards are 5 diamonds, 8 of spades, and J of diamonds. So far I have a par of 5's. I am going to call. (I hate folding anyway). Two new community cards are dealt, they are Q of Clubs and an A of hearts. The dealer turns his cards and has a 5 of clubs in his hand. Both the dealer and I we able to make a pair of 5's. The bet was pushed. (everybody get their money back)
Third Hand - I am dealt a hand of a 8 of hearts and a 7 of clubs. The community cards are 2 of hearst, 5 of hearst, and 7 of diamonds. So far I have a pair of diamonds. I will Call. A 10 of spades and a K of clubs are put into the community hand and the dealer turns over a 6 of hearts and an 8 of spades. Dealer has a K high only so the dealer does not qualify. I win $5 on the ante and $5 on the call. $10 win on Online Caribbean Hold 'em
Got the hang of it. I never did win anything off of the progressive, but I did end up playing for a little longer and came out about $30 in the black.
