Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

In this economic crisis, more and more European countries have been looking more closely at Internet gambling licences. Eastern Europe gambling markets still do not seem to be in recession. countries such as Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Croatia are looking closely at regulation of Internet gambling license. Online gamboling produces much tax revenue for the countries that support it. It’s amazing that the US has not followed suit. the crisis the Us is facing currently, we could use the extra tax revenue. What do you think? Do you think the Us would benefit by lifting the UIGEA regulation and allowing online gambling companies to operate in the US.

Good News for UIGEA

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

Well, the word seems to be spreading that the UIGEA is going to be overturned. There is no actual proof of this, but the online gambling community can feel it coming. They are all hoping by the third and forth quarter of 2009, we should start seeing some adjustment to this act. For any of you that are not familiar with the UIGEA, it is an act the stops financial institutions from allowing payments to USA Internet casinos and poker rooms. It does not say anything about online gambling to be illegal. This, to me is not what America is about. I mean, who is to say what I can and can not spend my money on. I addition, banks and other financial institutions are not set up to police their account holders. This Act is causing them much frustration and extra cost. I am sure they also would like to see the UIGEA become overturned so they can get back to business as usual.
